I am an assistant professor of statistics at the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences in Maastricht (the Netherlands), and I am building a research group in biomedical data science at the Center of Experimental Rheumatology in Zurich (Switzerland).

I earned my PhD in Bern (Switzerland) and Sophia Antipolis (France). With my advisors, Mauricio Reyes and Xavier Pennec, we worked on statistical models for medical images. For my postdoc, I moved to the Department of Statistics at Stanford University (United States). With my advisor, Susan Holmes, we worked on a theoretical analysis of Hamiltonian Monte Carlo and biomedical data analysis. With Catherine Blish and her lab, we developed the R package CytoGLMM.
